With Gareth Taylor’s team recording a 3-0 victory away to Reading on Sunday, it meant that all four of our teams were victorious across Saturday and Sunday.
Here’s how we did it…
HAALAND AT THE DEATH
With City playing a day before Arsenal, we knew victory over Fulham would move us to the Premier League’s summit, albeit temporarily.
Julian Alvarez started up front as he did against Sevilla three days before, and his quality was on show once again as he fired us into the lead after collecting Ilkay Gundogan’s sublime pass into his path.
The opener looked to set us up for success, before Joao Cancelo was sent off after fouling Harry Wilson when the winger was driving into the box.
Andreas Pereira converted from the spot and handed us a difficult task for the remainder of the afternoon.
With the Cottagers happy in their defensive shell, despite possessing a man extra, Pep Guardiola turned to Erling Haaland to score a vital winner.
And he looked to have done just that when he headed home shortly after entering the field, but after a lengthy VAR review, was deemed offside.
With five minutes added time, the London side looked to have done enough for a draw, before Kevin De Bruyne was fouled inside the box, handing us the perfect opportunity to take three points.
Haaland stepped up and squeezed the ball past Bernd Leno, with the full-time whistle blowing amid jubilant scenes at the Etihad Stadium.
HEMP AT THE HEART OF SUCCESS
We entered the match at Select Car Leasing Stadium looking to extend our winning streak to five games, and we did just that.
After a goalless first half, we deservedly took the lead thanks to Emma Mukandi’s own goal, to which she unfortunately repeated the trick seven minutes later to double our advantage.
Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw is currently the Barclays Women’s Super League top goalscorer, and she rounded off a fine display to head home and take her league tally for the season to seven.

BORGES HITS QUADRUPLE
After losing to Everton last time out, City craved victory at Leigh Sports Village – not only to bounce immediately back but to claim bragging rights over rivals Manchester United.
Rhys Bennett gave the hosts the lead, but Carlos Borges scored his first of four goals to equalise before adding three more to his tally after the interval.
His second came in the 68th minute before Dire Medube and Will Dickson pulled us further ahead.
With the scoreline 4-1, Borges grabbed his hattrick and another to complete the thrashing and temporarily restore our place at the top of the Premier League 2 table.
LATE DRAMA IN NORFOLK
Our second comeback of the weekend came in the PL U18 Cup clash with Norwich Under-18s to secure a dramatic passage into the quarter-finals.
With City 2-0 down with 16 minutes remaining, it looked as though our cup crusade was coming to an end before Nico O’Reilly breathed new life into our campaign by pulling a goal back.
10 minutes later we were level when Alfie Harrison who nipped in to score from a Farid Alfa-Ruprecht ball.
Despite battling back from two goals down, qualification still wasn’t secured as we would still sit behind the Canaries in the table in second - with only the best runner-up qualifying for the quarter-finals.
But on the cusp of full-time, Justin Oboavwoduo breathtakingly scored in the dying seconds to secure our progression.
