Manchester City will showcase its charity on all matchday shirts during the 2023/24 UEFA Champions League campaign.

City in the Community’s logo will appear underneath the player numbers during both home and away fixtures throughout the competition this season.

The announcement comes as an extension of the work the Club did to support City in the Community at the end of last season, which saw the treble winners showcase the logo during both their FA Cup and UEFA Champions League final wins.

Commenting on the announcement, Head of City in the Community, Mike Geary, said: “We are absolutely delighted that the Club has chosen to include City in the Community’s logo on all UEFA Champions League shirts this season.

“The impact the Club’s support of the charity had throughout the Treble-winning campaign was monumental; with more than 400 million people turning in globally to watch the UEFA Champions League final, where they will have seen some of the biggest stars in the world wearing our logo with pride.

“The extension of this commitment will help us to raise further awareness and impact of the charity, which ultimately aids sustainability.

“On behalf of everyone at City in the Community, I’d like to express our sincere thanks to Manchester City and UEFA for their support.”

City take on Red Star Belgrade at 20:00pm (UK) later today, at the Etihad Stadium.

If fans would like to further support City in the Community, they can do so by making a donation at the City Store when purchasing any item.

Every penny raised will go towards supporting the charity’s work of empowering healthier lives through football.
