Girls and Boys teams competing from Under-7s right through to Under-19s were welcomed to San Diego, California over Memorial Weekend to pit their wits against each other in the annual youth tournament.
A mixture of City youngsters from ages 12-14 also travelled to take on other MLS and Mexican Liga MX Academy teams, as well as select American Youth Development Squads in the 2008 Verizon Super Group.
The 40,000 visitors across the weekend were also given the chance to have their photo taken with the Premier League trophy, won by Pep Guardiola’s men for a fourth time in five seasons.
Players were also invited to test their skills in a new crossover sport: TeqBall.
Using a curved table and mixing both football and table tennis, TeqBall is extremely popular among City’s first team squad, and youngsters were given the opportunity to try it out with the help of TeqBall athletes across the weekend.
