A huge congratulations to a handful of United Kingdom Official Supporters Club branches that have celebrated 25 years since their creation.

At City, we love to recognise and acknowledge the hard work and dedicated support of our Official Supporters Clubs from around the world.

This season, we’ve welcomed several OSC branches to celebrate their 25th anniversaries.

Since the start of the 2023/24 season, we have invited five branches to experience hospitality at the Etihad Stadium.

Gary, Chair of the East Kent Blues, who celebrated their anniversary in 2023, was invited to the Chairmans lounge for the Bournemouth match, along with General Secretary, David.

“We were fortunate enough to witness a real goal-fest from our heated seats on the halfway line, having been wined and dined in the elegant surroundings of the Chairman’s Club,” said Gary.

“East Kent is one of the furthest English branches from the Etihad but we have an enthusiastic membership with plenty of Seasoncard Holders within our ranks.

“I suspect, much like David and I, most Committee Members were originally press-ganged into accepting office. But we all rise to the challenge and derive a good deal of satisfactions from closer links with City.

“The real heroes are our predecessors who ran Supporters Club branches up and down the country in a period when winning a single piece of silverware was a pipedream.

“Thanks again for marking our 25th anniversary in such an auspicious manner.”

Our Ballymena Official Supporters Club were also invited to a fixture this season, to celebrate their own 25th anniversary.

Jonny, Chair of the Ballymena branch, when asked about his experience of the day said ‘receiving our 25-year pennant was such a proud moment. We were invited by the delightful Natalie Pike, dinted on the table next to Mike Summerbee and even held the men’s Ballon d’Or trophy’.

Also celebrating their silver jubilee this year were our Chorley, Morecambe Bay, Barrow and District, Kings Lynn and Cambridge branches.

We’re excited to celebrate more branches both new and established in 2024 and the Official Supports Clubs continue to grow.
