Members were invited to bid for the chance to enjoy a rare experience, visiting the City Football Academy to watch the First Team train.
The initiative was open to all branches and collectively raised an impressive £2k for CITC.
Two branches secured the winning bids and enjoyed exclusive access to the training ground as part of their prize.
The Ramsbottom branch attended their experience the day after travelling to Swansea for the match. Representing the group were Rick, aged 49, and Freddie, aged 15, who were thrilled to be part of such a unique behind-the-scenes moment.
The Blackpool & Fylde branch also took part, attending their experience shortly after the team’s fixture against Burnley. Following the visit, a representative from CITC travelled to Blackpool to hear more about the winners’ day and the impact it had on them.
Reflecting on the Blackpool branch’s experience, Nicola said: “Thank you so much again… the most memorable day ever!”
Branch Chair Dennis added: “What a fantastic occasion and priceless family memories for the three of them.”
The auction not only created unforgettable memories for the winning members, but also raised vital funds that will help CITC continue delivering life-changing programmes across Greater Manchester.
City Football Group and City in the Community extend their thanks to every Official Supporters Club member who took part, demonstrating once again the power of collective support for the Club’s charity.
