Manchester City’s family of Official Supporters Clubs continues to expand across the globe with the launch of our first ever branch in New Zealand.

Based on the country’s southern island, the Queenstown group affiliated in October 2020 and consists of 10 members, including founder, Alex Geoffoy.

The branch has welcomed the opportunity to join the Club’s worldwide community of fans and are hoping their formation will grow their presence in Queenstown.

Founder Alex is a lifelong fan and hopes one day he will be able to experience a Trophy Tour in New Zealand.

“I started following City at a young age and have been a fan since 2008,” he explained.

“I fell in love with each player. I was a huge fan of Robinho, whilst Shaun Wright-Phillips, Vincent Kompany and Pablo Zabaleta were also some of my favourites.

“We started this club to share our passion and to have a community of Cityzens in New Zealand.

“Our goal is to have regular meetings, grow as a club and hopefully later on, experience a Trophy Tour in Queenstown.

“Becoming an official branch for us means being part of Manchester City, being recognised for our dedication and a chance to be involved with the global City community.”
