The Seoul leg of the Manchester City Trophy Tour proved another resounding success.

Former City and England favourite Shaun Wright-Phillips joined the tour which included a football festival in the South Korean capital.

That was then followed by an hour-long exclusive meet and greet and Q&A session with Shaun attended by more than 70 members of the Seoul Official Supporters Club branch.

As well as picture and autograph opportunities with Shaun and the Premier League trophy, we presented the branch with a signed City shirt and also presented the members with special prizes and giveaways.

The branch also set up a booth where they gave away gifts to their members. In addition, they also arranged a special activation where members wrote sentimental messages on post-it notes for the City players.

The Seoul branch has close to 200 members in total, with approximately 70 in attendance throughout the day and Serkin Kim, Chair of the Seoul branch, said it was an occasion that no-one would forget.

“It was an invaluable experience to see the original trophy on the trophy tour. In particular, it was really special to have such an experience in Seoul, far from Manchester, and it was amazing to imagine the touch of City players last season,” he said.

“As soon as Shaun appeared on the afternoon of the trophy tour, the atmosphere on the scene heated up.

“It was very touching that he, who devoted himself to City, visited Korea for the second time.

“All the Korean City fans were very interested in his answers during the Q&A session and were very happy when he spoke some of the Korean language that he learned the day before.

“After the regular event, OSC members had time to meet Shaun and the trophy exclusively, and the members cheered his name loudly.

“Personally, I would like to thank Manchester City Trophy Tour for always visiting Korea. It was an honour to be able to spend time with the trophy, to meet and see Shaun.”
