It was the first time the Club took any edition of our Trophy Tour to Toronto and we were grateful for all the local Cityzens who showed up throughout the weekend.
And it was a trip full of events, meet and greets with City legends Shaun Wright-Phillips and Nedum Onuoha as well as plenty of photograph opportunities for fans to get snapped with City’s latest silverware.
To commemorate the trip, we’ve picked four stand-out moments from our time in Toronto…
SIGHTSEEING
With it being our first time in Toronto, we had to go to as many iconic venues as possible.
On arrival to Toronto we took the three trophies to Nathan Phillips Square before take a trip across the water to Toronto Islands to capture the amazing city skyline in the background, including the CN Tower.
With breath-taking lights and scenery on show throughout, the trophies looked fantastic in Toronto.
NIAGARA FALLS
Views don’t get much better than the natural beauty of one of the most iconic places in the world, Niagara Falls.
City legends Onuoha and Wright-Phillips travelled with the Premier League, Club World Cup and Community Shield trophies in the early hours to be at the falls just after sunrise to be pictured with the mesmerising water in the background.
MAPLE LEAFS
While in Canada, Onuoha and Wright-Phillips tried their hand at ice hockey, the most popular sport in the country.
And it was definitely easier said than done for the City duo who had to come to terms with the slippery ice and ice hockey equipment.
They were joined by Maple Leaf legends Rick Vaive and Nik Antropov at The Ford Performance Centre.
MATCHDAY LIVE
Our Matchday Live show went global with host Natalie Pike alongside Onuoha and Wright-Phillips at the Carlu with around 1,000 fans in attendance to watch the show and City’s Premier League trip to Liverpool.
From a Q&A to the Boot Room to meeting Toronto Official Supporters Club members, it was an amazing day with special guests and our trophies in our final event of our Toronto 4-In-A-Row Trophy Tour stop.
