City’s four major honours travelled to Scandinavia at the end of October after wonderful visits to Greece, China, India, Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates and Australia.
The Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, Super Cup and Club legend Nedum Onuoha arrived first in Bryne to explore the places where Erling Haaland spent time growing up.
These included Ha Gamle Prestegard - an art and culture centre for the region which provided stunning views across the North Sea and at a surfing hotspot, Borestranden sand dunes.
This part of the trip concluded with a visit to Gabriel Hoyland’s - the great-uncle of Erling Haaland - potato and pig farm.
Here, Onuoha and the trophies met with Hoyland’s family, and they had photos with the trophies too, including the famous blue tractor.
To conclude a superb Friday, supporters from the Scandinavia Official Supporters’ Club were invited to attend a barbeque where they had the opportunity to take pictures with the trophies and take part in a QnA with Onuoha.
Saturday began with a Football Festival at Bryne FK where over 1000 fans took photos with our quadruple of major honours before 160 local children participated in coaching sessions.
Our visit to the Bryne Stadion coincided with a local women’s derby between Jærens Superlag and Stavanger which was attended by the former City defender before Moonchester won the pitchfork throwing competition at half-time!
City’s trophies then travelled to Oslo from Stavanger.
The Manchester derby beckoned on Sunday, but before Pep Guardiola’s side locked horns with Erik ten Hag’s team there was time for Onuoha to visit Holmenkollen Ski Jump – a 70,000 capacity ski jumping hill which hosted the 1952 Winter Olympics.
While there, Nedum took part in a zip line while taking in the sights of Oslo as he went down.
Then it was time for the all-important match at Old Trafford which was shown live at Meet Ullevaal, situated next to Norway’s national football stadium.
Supporters were able to have their pictures taken with the trophies before getting their images printed and sent to them.
Ahead of the first ball being kicked in a fine 3-0 win, Onuoha answered questions from fans on the stage while Moonchester was also in attendance.
The final day of the trip to Norway saw Onuoha take the trophies the British Embassy residence before he took part in a QnA session with ambassador Jan Thompson.
