Representing our community football projects in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles and New York, alongside young coaches from Kansas, Philadelphia and Washington D.C., participants came together for the first time at a special welcome event hosted by Manchester City’s City in the Community coaches and City in the Community New York.
The evening gave Young Leaders the opportunity to meet each other, build new connections and celebrate the start of an exciting week ahead.
The following morning, the group headed to the pitch for the first time to begin their community coaching training, led by City in the Community coaches who have travelled from Manchester.
Over the next five days, participants will take part in leadership workshops, cultural experiences and community football activities designed to equip them with the skills, confidence and knowledge to make a empower healthier lives in their own communities.
