The awards evening took place at the Etihad Stadium with 100 guests, and connected a wider network of young leaders, friends and family from around the world via Webex by Cisco.
For the first time, this included use of Webex’s new real-time translation feature, providing an engaging and inclusive experience for those tuning in.

The event featured a Q&A with special guest Karen Bardsley on leadership and women’s football, a chance for young leaders to have their picture with the Premier League Trophy, and the presentation of six awards, with some surprise virtual guests to congratulate the winners.

- Yecid Bolaño Inspiration Award: Nara from Buenos Aires
Reflecting on the event, Karen Bardsley said: “I have been truly inspired by the stories we heard this evening of young leaders who are creating life-changing impact in their communities using the power of the football.
“The chance to meet the young leaders and to see them connecting with each other was amazing, and I believe the future is very bright for these young people.”
