We are very proud of the work that City in the Community does both in Manchester and all over the world.

For this reason, we’re going to spend the next week celebrating all the positive contributions CITC have been making since its foundation in 1986.

In 1894 Manchester City was founded by the Connell family as a Club for social good in an area where the population were suffering from poor health, low self-esteem, social unrest and other issues caused by deprivation.

More than a century on, we are still striving to make a difference. Tell us your #CityStory on our MCFC Facebook page, twitter account or e-mail CityStory@mcfc.co.uk.

Starting from Monday on mcfc.co.uk, you will see different stories from people whose lives have been impacted by City in the Community’s work in Greater Manchester, as well as re-visiting some  of the projects outside the UK that we’ve been part of over the last year.

On Saturday 30 March we’ll be celebrating together at the City v Newcastle match - a game we’ve dedicated to City in the Community.

That’s why we want to hear your #CityStory. Over the past 27 years, City in the Community will have touched countless lives and we don’t want those special stories to go untold
