As we approach the festive season, there are a growing number of children in Manchester for which Christmas is not a happy time.

Greater Manchester has been identified as having the highest level of severe child poverty outside London, with one in three young people living in poverty in our city.

As a result, many of these children won’t be waking up to a morning of presents and festive cheer.

So once again, MCFC and City in the Community are supporting Key 103’s ‘Mission Christmas’ campaign to ensure that the most deprived children in Manchester wake up on Christmas morning with a gift from Father Christmas.

The idea is to encourage Manchester City supporters from across Greater Manchester to purchase an extra present for a young person from birth to 17 years old who would normally go without.

The brand new gift can be suitable for males or females and it does not need to be wrapped.

Any supporters wishing to donate a gift can do so by dropping their gift off at the club shop during normal opening hours.
