City in the Community have teamed up with Clapperboard UK to support their ‘End Hate, Love Banter’ Film Project.
Clapperboard UK are working with young people who are supporters of and from the areas of the North West’s four main football teams Liverpool, Manchester United, Everton and Manchester City, respectively.
Selected groups will work with Clapperboard to develop the film’s content and produce a 12 minute short film on Identity, Place, History and Humour, which will challenge the prejudice and hateful attitudes of young people towards each other and respective football team’s supporters.
City in the Community have welcomed Clapperboard UK to the Etihad Stadium and together worked with a group of students from White Bridge College in Tameside to develop footage for the short film.
Local actor, Ciaràn Griffiths, star of TV’s Shameless, came down to support the project and was interviewed by members of the group to share is football experiences.
The group had developed some great material and thoroughly enjoyed their time in front of the camera and are very much looking forward to seeing themselves on the big screen in the coming weeks.
All participants have been invited to an awards ceremony on Monday 28th October, where they will proudly be representing City in the Community and White Bridge College, an event they are very much looking forward to.
