Over the festive period, Manchester City players have been inspired by so many of their supporters, including the recent visit to the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and ‘wish’ charity training day.

But it doesn’t stop there. Here’s what happened when Manuel Pellegrini made a fan’s wish come true and the EDS boys visited the Teenage Cancer Trust’s hospital ward.

Manuel welcomes Sue Eggett, 74, who put in a ‘wish’ to meet the boss to the HoneyRose Foundation after discovering that she was fighting cancer for the second time.

Sue enjoys an access all areas pass with Les Chapman, experiencing life behind the scenes at CFA.

Pellegrini joins Sue to hear about her passion for City and present a hamper as a thank you for her support.

Patrick Vieira and the EDS squad sprinkle some Christmas cheer over the Teenager Cancer Trust ward, visiting patients with special MCFC gifts.

Former EDS boss gets the ‘high-five’ seal of approval from City fan!

Tosin Adarabioyo, Aaron Nemane, Charlie Oliver, Manu Garcia and Kjetil Haug take photos with patients as they make their way around the ward.

Players have goodie-bags at the ready as no youngster goes without a meet and greet!

Patients of all ages were excited to see the Blue boys.
