On Thursday 17 September 2015, former City stars will step onto the golf course at Mottram Hall Golf Club in Cheshire to complete over 18 holes in the four-ball tournament sponsored by Barclays.
Teams are welcomed to sign up and experience playing the course in the company of City legends, and compete to become the team winners of the Blues on the Green trophy 2015. As well as the winner’s trophy, teams will all be in with the chance of winning some great team and individual prizes.
To prepare for the action packed day on the course and that all important hole in one, all players will enjoy a welcome breakfast, a golf buggy for the tournament and a three course evening meal.
On top of all of this, evening entertainment will also be provided involving a question and answer session with a MCFC special guest who will be announced shortly.
The day is guaranteed to be a memorable experience for all from start to finish, with numerous mementos and surprises on offer for every participant.
For teams who sign up early, there is an exciting opportunity to opt for the fourth player in your team to be a City legend, who can share their memories and stories of playing for the Blues, as you make your way around the course.
Team entry is £1,000 for four players, with all the money raised going towards benefiting young people within our local community.
City in the Community (CITC) Ambassador Alex Williams started CITC almost thirty years ago and expressed his enthusiasm for the return of this event.
He explained: “We are looking forward to another fantastic charity golf day. Over the past two years, we have had excellent feedback from the event, which gives fans the fantastic opportunity to play alongside City stars.
“We are extremely grateful to our event sponsor Barclays and to all of the teams involved whose invaluable support enables us to shape the lives of young people in our local community.”
