If you dream of a career in sport and love the beautiful game, then City in the Community (CITC) may have the perfect opportunity for you.

Open to current year 11 students, committed and hardworking boys and girls will have the chance to gain a qualification equivalent to three A Levels, whilst training at the home of Manchester City.

Throughout the course you’ll work with UEFA B qualified coaches from City in the Community and take part in a technical training programme. Topics include anatomy, physiology, psychology, coaching, analysis and technical and tactical development.

You’ll also have the opportunity to compete in the English Colleges League each week, with added qualification opportunities, including a FA Level 1 in football coaching course, also available.

And with a chance to attend both local and international tournaments, as well as to volunteer on some of City in the Community’s award winning projects, this is a programme you don’t want to miss out on.

Year 2 student Tom shares that sentiment, commenting: “The course has been nothing but first class from day one and training at the same facility as the likes of Aguero and Silva is mind blowing for a college student.

“Not only have I improved as a player and gained a valuable qualification, I am now coaching football for City in the Community in the evenings.”

This 2 year course particularly suits those wanting to enter employment in the sport and active leisure sector as sports coaches, instructors and leaders.

It is also ideal for those wishing to progress to higher education to study a sport related degree such as coaching, sports development and sports science.
