The Football 2 Amsterdam event will see Blues unite with fellow fans on a 145 mile pilgrimage to the Dutch capital.
Beginning in Yorkshire or London, the charity bike ride finishes at Ajax’s Amsterdam Arena, with participants putting their endurance to the test in a bid to fight a disease which kills one man every 45 minutes.
Following on from last year’s success, several City fans will be taking part and you can tackle the challenge with them.
Seasoncard holder, Mark Dutton, will be getting on his bike again this year and would encourage other fans to join him.
“Being a season ticket holder at City and a keen cyclist I saw this as an ideal way to combine my passions,” he explained.
“But more importantly, I wanted to raise awareness of Prostate Cancer for myself, friends and colleagues and highlight how small preventative measures can help to ensure we don’t become victims of this killer disease.
“Our team last year consisted of myself and a fellow season ticket holder. The event was incredibly well run and cyclists of all ages and abilities took part.
“The emphasis is always on fun, and the night on the ferry is an experience not to be forgotten! Then once in Amsterdam you have a celebratory dinner followed by a night on the town with other football fans and ex pros.”
This year’s City team is already set to be bigger than last, but Mark is hopeful more Blues will be encouraged to get involved, even if they’re not particularly experienced on a bike.
“In 2018 we want to make the City cycling team one of the largest participating and we currently have six members signed up,” he added.
“Even if you haven’t cycled before, fear not, with a little bit of training you will find this ride a challenge but one that is not too difficult.
“Riding with other football fans from around the country is a great experience and I would encourage anyone remotely interested to get in touch and find out more; anyone aged 14 upwards is welcome.”
