Next week, more than 70 inspirational youngsters from 18 cities around the world are set for a life-changing experience at Manchester City.

The Club’s global community work will take centre-stage as the City Football Academy opens its doors for the annual Cityzens Giving Young Leaders Summit.

Official Cityzens Giving Young Leader Summit Partner, Etihad Airways, is generously connecting our young people by flying them from 10 project destinations to Manchester which, for many, will be their very first experience of international travel.

This year we’ll welcome returning leaders from Manchester, New York, Melbourne, Beijing, Bandung, Kolkata, Sao Paulo and Mexico City who will be travelling to the Peak District this week for an intensive training programme as they prepare to co-deliver the summit with City in the Community coaches.

These experienced young leaders will then welcome the latest additions to City Football’s global community family Los Angeles, Guangzhou, Bangkok, Washington, Dubai, Cape Coast, Barranquilla, Cape Town and Kuala Lumpur.

Along with the coaches, they will use their knowledge and expertise gained over the years to enhance the new young leaders’ confidence, leadership and community football coaching skills.

The fourth Young Leaders Summit will enable participants from a growing network of Cityzens Giving projects to access world-class training in community football and share learning about how they are using the power of football to impact and unite their communities.
