On 24th March 2019, more than 850 runners took part in CITC’s annual Blue Run.

The 5km run saw the participants start on Joe Mercer Way, cross the bridge over to the City Football Academy passing the first team and academy training pitches, before heading back over to the Etihad Stadium and completing two laps of the athletics track, finishing on City Square.

With three colour stations along the way and a team of CITC staff at the ready, all the runners were coated in sky blue powder as they completed the route!

The atmosphere on the day was fantastic with fans of all ages taking part, as well as a large number of spectators supporting their friends and families.

Live videos of the event were viewed by over 320k fans on Instagram, with some very blue fans also taking to social media to share their favourite moments of the day.

So far, the fundraising total has reached just over £35,000 which is an incredible effort by all of CITC’s supporters.
