City in the Community is running free sports activities for men in East Manchester to help improve their health and fitness.

Premier League Health, funded by the New Littlewoods Pools and the Premier League, provides organised activities twice a week at the Sporting Edge Sports Centre in Openshaw.

Sessions are held on Mondays and Wednesdays between 4pm and 6pm and activities include football, badminton, boxing and basketball.

MCFC’s Health Trainer is also on hand at sessions to provide simple tips and advice on eating healthier and being more physically active.

Participants will also have the opportunity of free training provision through CITC’s partners and also have the chance to attend Blues home games at the City of Manchester Stadium.
