The Academy outfit have scored an impressive 58 goals in 18 Under-18 Premier League North games this campaign, including 25 in our last six outings.

It is a particularly rich vein of form and Vicens believes his team are reaping the rewards of the hard work they have put in on the training ground.
“It [scoring more goals] is something we have been working on quite a lot,” he told mancity.com.
“We were arriving to the final third but were not putting the chances in that we wanted to and this is something we have definitely improved on.”
City have lost just one game this season, a 4-2 defeat away to title rivals, Manchester United in February and since then we have won five and drawn one of our last six outings.
It leaves us just two points behind league leaders United with six games to go and Vicens has been extremely pleased with his squad’s reaction since the derby defeat.
“I think we spoke after the defeat against United that the level of intensity needed to be raised, and I think we have seen that,” he added.
“I think it is just a consequence of the way we have been playing that fact we have been scoring goals.
“There has been a lot of good things from everyone, creativity finding different ways to play through. This has led to us having a lot of opportunities in the final third.”
In Tai Sodje and Micah Hamilton City have two players who have had no trouble finding the back of the net this season.
Sodje has netted 19 league goals in 18 games this campaign and has played a key role in City’s title charge, whilst midfielder Hamilton has hit hot form since the turn of the year, scoring an impressive six goals and laying on four assists in his last seven appearances.
Vicens is delighted with their form and believes the duo are providing a great example of the importance of attitude and application.
“Tai has applied himself really well,” explained the Spaniard.
“We ask him to do a lot more work out of possession and he has helped massively when pressing.
“He is there in the important moments and it is key for a striker to be in the right place.”
On Hamilton, he added: “I would say Micah has improved in the last two or three months.
“We have seen a different Micah since the beginning of December and now he is collecting the results of all the hard work he has put in.”
“His level of application has increased to make the difference. It proves that when you work hard and try hard in training, you do get the results.”
