City's Elite Development Squad will play Manchester United at the Joie Stadium on Friday 8 May, with kick-off for our Premier League 2 play-off semi-final scheduled for 19:00 (UK).

Ben Wilkinson’s side have had an exciting play-off campaign so far as we continue to fight to retain the play-off title.

After going a goal down, our young Blues fought back to win 3-1 in our Round of 16 tie with Arsenal.

Then, our quarter-final was another testing match-up, this time against Aston Villa.

Twice City bounced back from going a goal behind before taking the all-important lead late on to win 3-2 and as a result secure our place in the final four.

Our latest opponents, United, have overcome Sunderland and Crystal Palace to book their place in the Manchester derby semi-final.

It will be our second clash with our cross-city rivals this term.

In August we travelled to Leigh Sports Village where United snatched a narrow 2-1 win in the League Phase which would see them go on to place second in the table.

This is also a second successive season in which City will faced United in the PL2 play-off semi-finals.

A second-half brace from Divin Mubama secured a 2-0 win for City last season and as a result our place in the prestigious final.

The winner of our semi-final will face either Tottenham Hotspur or Brighton & Hove Albion in the final.
