Cole Palmer has been nominated for April’s Premier League 2 Player of the Month award.

The attacking midfielder, who also won October’s award, has been shortlisted for his performances for City’s Elite Development Squad (EDS).

His latest nomination caps a magnificent season both individually and collectively with Palmer and his EDS teammates securing our first-ever PL2 title in April.

During April, Palmer scored a superb brace of goals in our outstanding 3-0 derby win over Manchester United and also found the target with another magnificent effort in our 3-2 win over Liverpool.

The 19-year-old is one of six nominees, who were chosen by the Premier League’s Football Development Panel after each PL2 coach picked out the best performance by an opposing player in their league matches during the month.

Palmer is up against Danny Cashman (Brighton & Hove Albion); Josh Hawkes (Sunderland); Dilan Markanday (Tottenham Hotspur); Ademipo Odubeko (West Ham United) and Crysencio Summerville (Leeds United).

The winner will be selected by the Football Development Panel.
