Gallery: EDS and Under-18 pre-season prep begins in Portugal

City's Elite Development Squad and Under-18s team have travelled to Portugal for some warm weather training.

EDS head coach Brian Barry-Murphy and Under-18s head coach Ben Wilkinson have joined together to prepare their teams for the upcoming season with the ambition of retaining their respective league titles.

Having returned to the City Football Academy for pre-season training earlier this month, Barry-Murphy and Wilkinson have been hard at work with their squads, looking to harmonise the balance of development and eye for obtaining more silverware.

With their opening matches of the Premier League 2 and Under-18 Premier League North yet to be announced, both teams are capitalising on the time they have to hone their skills on an individual level and then merge the talents together to form a strong team.

Full of running, drills and instructions, the players worked hard in their first warm weather training session.
