Manchester City will resume our quest for the FA Youth Cup later this month when the 2019/20 tournament resumes.

After beating Swansea, Aston Villa, Fulham and Burnley, City had progressed through to the semi-finals and a last four meeting with Blackburn in March when the FA Youth Cup was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, it has now been confirmed that the 2019/20 FA Youth Cup will resume with the semi-finals and final all to be played behind closed doors at St. George’s Park, the FA’s national football HQ.

City’s youngsters will play Blackburn on Friday, October 30th, kick-off 5pm with Chelsea then playing Manchester United in the other semi-final at 7.45pm.

The respective winners will then meet in the final which is scheduled for Monday, November 2, kick-off 7.30pm.

All three matches will be broadcast live on BT Sport.

Gareth Taylor was in charge of the City squad during the initial phase of the tournament but with Gareth now in charge of our women’s team, Carlos Vicens has taken over as manager of our Under-18s.
