The 18-year-old scored four goals in three games, playing a key role as City won our trio of league games last month.
The first match September saw Ben Wilkinson’s side showcase some fantastic, fluid football in our 5-0 home triumph over Everton. Alfa-Ruprecht’s brace either side of half-time put City well on our way to another impressive league victory.
The international break, where Alfa-Ruprecht represented Germany Under-19s, did not slow down his momentum for the Club.
On his return to Manchester, the winger scored City’s first in our emphatic 3-1 win over Manchester United. His strike on the brink of half-time was thoroughly deserved and the forward’s electric pace and quick feet were to thank for the goal.
The third, and final, league clash of September - City’s fourth successive win - saw us down Aston Villa on a Friday evening under the Joie Stadium lights.
After an early Emilio Lawrence strike, Alfa-Ruprecht doubled City’s lead just before the half hour mark. He was set up beautifully by Nico O’Reilly who saw his cross tapped home at the back post.
“I am delighted to have won this award. September was a great month for the team - winning all our PL2 games. It was brilliant to score in all three of them,” said Alfa-Ruprecht when he received his award.
“I am very thankful to my team-mates, the coaches and staff for helping me to make it happen. I am happy with the start we have made to the season and I want to continue this and push on.”
Everyone at Manchester City would like to congratulate Farid on the award!
