Liam Delap has been nominated for November’s Premier League 2 Player of the Month.

The striker, who scored on his senior first team debut earlier this season, has been shortlisted for his performances for Manchester City’s Elite Development Squad (EDS).

His nomination follows hard on the heels of team-mate Cole Palmer who was voted PL2 player of the month for October.

During November, Delap scored a superb brace of goals in our outstanding 7-2 win away at Liverpool and also found the target with another magnificent effort in our 2-2 draw against Chelsea.

The 18-year-old is one of eight nominees, who were chosen by the Premier League’s Football Development Panel after each PL2 coach picked out the best performance by an opposing player in their league matches during the month.

Delap is up against Alfie Matthews (Crystal Palace); Liam Millar (Liverpool); Nikolaj Moller (Arsenal); Joel Mumbongo (Burnley); Jaden Philogene-Bidace (Aston Villa), Arnau Puigmal (Manchester United) and Jean-Pierre Tiehi (Fulham).

The winner will be selected by the Football Development Panel.

Everyone at Manchester City congratulates Liam on his nomination.
