City’s Elite Development Squad were back out on the training pitches at the CFA this week as preparation began for this weekend’s match against Blackburn.

We’re currently top of the table with 50 points and three league games left to play this season. Chelsea, who we beat 3-1 last weekend, are closest to us but trail by seven points having played one game more.

Crystal Palace are in third, eight points behind City with a potential nine points available from their three remaining games.

A win over Blackburn this weekend would see Brian Barry-Murphy’s team lift the Premier League 2 title for a third consecutive season.

Blackburn moved to 10th after a 3-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur, extending their win streak to two.

City travel to Blackburn with a comfortable win under their belt against Chelsea last weekend. Goals from Oscar Bobb, Kian Breckin and Carlo Borges kept us top of Premier League 2.

Our match this weekend is scheduled for a 13:00 (UK) kick-off on Sunday 23 April.
