City’s U18s produced an outstanding performance to beat Sunderland 4-0 at the Academy of Light on Saturday.
Micah Hamilton gave City the lead after 12 minutes, before second-half goals from Oscar Bobb, Carlos Borges and Darko Gyabi sealed a fine victory.
The win sees City move into second place in the U18s Premier League table, leapfrogging Liverpool who sit third.
We are now two points behind leaders Manchester United with a game in hand after they lost 3-2 away at Newcastle this afternoon.
The equation is simple for Carlos Vicens’ men: win all our five remaining games and we will be crowned champions.
