The game takes place on Friday 22 September at the Academy Stadium, with kick-off set for 19:00 (UK).
The EDS made history across 2022/23, after being crowned Premier League 2 champions for a third successive season – a feat achieved for the first time ever.
We went into this new campaign with a younger squad, with many from the Under-18s set-up moving up the age groups – and we’ve so far picked up one win, one draw and two defeats.
The sky blues started the campaign with a 5-0 home defeat to Tottenham and a 2-1 away loss to Fulham before an entertaining 4-4 home draw with Aston Villa.
We followed that up with a thumping 4-0 away victory at Newcastle, Will Dickson bagging a brace on top of efforts from Emilio Lawrence and Michael Okeke.
