Tuesday night saw the first team win the Premier League for the third time in four years after Manchester United’s defeat to Leicester left us with an unassailable 10-point lead with three games of the season remaining. We have now won 10 of the last 15 available major English trophies at senior level.
That came just three weeks after our EDS won the Club’s first-ever PL2 title. Enzo Maresca’s side were dominant throughout the campaign and finished 14 points ahead of nearest challengers Chelsea.
And on Wednesday, our U18s won the Premier League U18s North after beating Burnley in the final game of the season to leapfrog Manchester United. They will now play Fulham or Crystal Palace to see who wins the National title.
Academy Director Jason Wilcox said: “I am so proud of everyone connected to this football club. To win three league titles across the Premier League pyramid is a very special moment and one that can only be achieved by collective hard-work and dedication.
“This success should be enjoyed by everybody across the club. Everyone at Manchester City has contributed to this and there’s no way an organisation could achieve this without everyone pulling in the same direction.”
It’s a fantastic achievement and everyone at City would like to congratulate Pep Guardiola, Enzo Maresca and Carlos Vicens on their respective successes.
