Manchester City have been drawn against Hajduk Split in the round of 16 of the UEFA Youth League.

Today’s draw in Nyon pitted Brian Barry-Murphy’s youngsters against the Croatians with City having been drawn away.

The round of 16 ties will be one-off affairs with the games due to take place on either Tuesday, February 28 or Wednesday, March 1.

For all matches in the knockout stages, should the teams are level at full time, there is no extra time, with games then being determined by a penalty shoot-out.

City secured passage to the knockout stages in impressive fashion by topping Group G after a run of four wins and two draws across fixtures with Dortmund Under-19s, Copenhagen Under-19s and Sevilla Juvenil A.

Hajduk came through the domestic champions path and are into the round of 16 for the first time.

At today’s draw, the quarter finals and semi final pathway were also laid out.

Should we manage to overcome Hajduk in the last 16, City will face a quarter final tie away to either Borussia Dortmund, whom we met in the group stages, or Paris Saint Germain.

If City are successful again, the semi final would see us take on one of AC Milan/Ruh Lviv or Atletico Madrid/Genk with the last four and final to be staged in Nyon, Switzerland.

A confirmed date and kick-off time for the round of 16 game will be published on mancity.com and our official app as soon it is finalised.
