Everything you need to know ahead of next week's UEFA Youth League round of 16 draw…

City secured passage to the knockout stages by topping Group G after a run of four wins and two draws across fixtures with Dortmund Under-19s, Copenhagen Under-19s and Sevilla Juvenil A.

Now wait to find out our opponents in the last-16.

When is the draw?

It takes place in Nyon, Switzerland on Monday, February 13 with the draw getting underway at 12pm (UK).

STATE OF PLAY

Eight teams, including Brian Barry-Murphy’s side, have already qualified for the first knockout round after topping their individual UYL groups.

And those who finished second competed in a play-off match against the group winners of the domestic champions path (a separate competition) for a place in the round of 16.

Those ties took place earlier this week and the winners were as follows:

Salzburg

AZ Alkmaar

Rukh Lviv

Hajduk Split

Ajax

Borussia Dortmund

Porto

Genk

DRAW PROCEDURE

• The eight group winners and eight play-off victors enter the round of 16 draw, with the first team picked in each tie at home.

• The winners and runners-up of the same group in the Champions League path (EYL) cannot be drawn against each other – meaning we can’t play Borussia Dortmund.

• No teams are seeded and there is no country protection, with any restrictions announced ahead of the draw.

• The quarter-final, semi-final and final draws are open. The semi-finals and final will be held at Colovray Stadium, Nyon.

• Matches in the round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final are all played as single-leg knockout matches. If the teams are level at full time, there is no extra time, with games being determined by a penalty shoot-out.
