In the wake of Tuesday’s fine 4-0 win in the Slovak capital, the City youngsters return to domestic action on Saturday night with that huge PL2 encounter at the Joie Stadium which gets underway at 7pm UK time.
The clash pits the top of the table Hammers with third placed City in what promises to be an enthralling and intriguing encounter.
And for Warhurst, who registered his fourth goal of the campaign during Tuesday’s win, the manner of the victory over Slovan ensures the City players will step out this weekend full of confidence and belief.
“They [West Ham] are top of the table so it will be a really tough, physical game and we will need to be at our best,” Warhurst pointed out.
“But I know that we will turn up.
“We all really enjoyed the Slovan Bratislava game.
“I think we created a lot of chances, and it was really good to get our first win in the UEFA Youth League.
“That’s what the Club is about – we’re expected to win every game.
“For me [as a striker] it’s about staying patient and when you get the chance being ready to take it. I think the goal was my first chance.
“It was my first goal of the competition and it was such a good feeling when it went in.”
