All three were instrumental in another memorable campaign for Brian Barry-Murphy’s side, as we secured a record third PL2 title in a row.
And their significant contributions to that success have been recognised in the eight-player shortlist for the award, drawn up by the Premier League’s Football Development Panel, who will also determine the winner.

The result will be announced at the Premier League Youth Conference Awards evening on Monday 22 May.
This would be the third successive season in which a City player has won the award should any of our trio claim the prize.
Indeed, Liam Delap was named Player of the Season for 2020/21, with James McAtee following suit in the previous campaign.
Borges’ tally of 21 goals in 24 appearances for City saw him claim the PL2 golden boot, while Bobb also topped the assist chart with 16.
Mebude, meanwhile, found the net 11 times and laid on for his team-mates on 13 occasions, also opening the scoring from the spot in our decisive 3-0 victory over Blackburn Rovers, which clinched the title.
In total, our young trio combined for an astonishing 78 goal involvements, while they also finished first (Bobb), second (Mebude) and third (Borges) on the list for PL2 assists.
They face competition from Southampton’s Dominic Ballard, West Bromwich Albion’s Reyes Cleary, Leeds United’s Mateo Joseph Fernandez, Chelsea’s Alfie Gilchrist and Crystal Palace youngster Jack Wells-Morrison for the award.
