This mouth-watering opening day clash not only pits two local rivals together, but also last season’s top two.

The Academy outfit have a new manager in the dugout in the form of ex Elite Development Squad assistant head coach, Ben Wilkinson, who replaced Carlos Vicens this summer.

He will hope to make a winning start to the new campaign as City go in search of a fourth consecutive Under-18 Premier League North title, but will be expecting a stern test against United.

City won 2-1 in a hard-fought contest at the CFA last season, before falling to a 4-2 defeat away from home.
