Brian Barry-Murphy’s side are looking to maintain our unbeaten league run in 2023 in the fixture on Sunday 19 March, with kick-off at the Academy Stadium scheduled for 12:30 (UK).
Going into the Manchester derby, we current sit second the PL2 table on 41 points – one behind Chelsea but with two games fewer played.
And last time out in the division, we recorded a strong 5-1 victory over West Ham last time out.
Kian Breckin bagged a brace in the capital, while Oscar Bobb, Carlos Borges and Alex Robertson were also on the scoresheet during the win.
The success not only strengthened our position at the league’s summit, but it also extended our undefeated league streak this calendar year to eight games.
In the reverse fixture in November 2022, Borges produced a scintillating performance by scoring four goals in a 6-1 away win.
After going behind in the first half, we remained undeterred and levelled through the electric winger on the stroke of half-time.
Borges would then add three more goals to his tally, alongside strikes from Dire Medube and Will Dickson, in the second 45 in what was a ruthless attacking display.
But how will proceedings play out this time around?
