After a positive start to the post-Christmas fixtures, Attilio Lombardo’s men are now without a win in five games.
The Young Blues were unlucky to go down 4-3 to Crystal Palace in a Good Friday thriller, but couldn’t quite manage to exact revenge in the rematch the following week – earning a 1-1 draw.
Micah Richards and Maicon both featured in that game as they strive to regain full fitness and return to the first team squad.
Bolton currently lie one place ahead of City in Group 2, with the same amount of points but a superior goal difference.
They recorded a draw against Newcastle last week, and won their preceding match against Stoke so should provide a stern test for Lombardo’s side.
Kick off is at 1pm at the County Ground (PR25 2LF), and we’ll bring you goal updates on twitter as well as a full match report shortly after full time.
