City EDS will be looking to make it 11 wins on the spin when they host Stoke at Hyde on Friday night.

Patrick Vieira’s men are on a scintillating run of form and have now risen to third in the U21 Premier League table.

A hard-fought 2-1 win over Reading last time out ensured City remain six points off league leaders Fulham, as well as retaining a game in hand on the Londoners.

They will be seeking to make it count against the Potters, who sit six places and seven points behind the Blues after losing their last two league fixtures to Bolton and Southampton.

These two sides have already faced off this season after they were drawn together in an early round of the U21 Premier League Cup. City emerged victorious on that occasion thanks to two extra time goals from Albert Rusnak and Angelino, after neither side had been able to find a breakthrough during the 90 minutes.

The Blues remain without Rusnak, as well as Emyr Huws, George Evans and striker John Guidetti, who are all out on loan.

However, Vieira will be able to call on Devante Cole, who has found the net with a wonderful solo goal in each of the last two matches, as well as Marcos Lopes and top scorer Jordi Hiwula.

Kick off is at 7pm at Hyde FC. We’ll have updates on twitter as well as a full match report on mcfc.co.uk after full time.
