Tonight, City's under-19 side face Benfica in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Youth League and we're urging as many fans as possible to attend the game and show their support.

For this crucial game at Hyde FC’s Ewen Fields, we’re offering FREE entry for all supporters, as we bid to turn Hyde blue to spur our youngsters on to victory.

Patrick Vieira‘s side have defeated some tough opposition to get to this stage in the competition. Having negotiated a competitive group, City then produced an impressive display to overcome an awkward trip to Atletico Madrid.

Now, the youngsters are fighting to progress even further in the tournament and Vieira has called for the fans to rally the troops in their attempt to reach the semi-finals.

“We are really excited about the game on Tuesday,” he declared. “I know that the boys are really pleased to have progressed to the next round.

“I think it’s really important for the fans to respond and to come and support the youth. So, far they have been fantastic.

“This competition has been really good for the players to show what they are capable of and we have played against some really good teams. We had a really difficult game against Atletico Madrid and we managed to play good football to win the game.

“If we can have 3,000 or 4,000 fans at Hyde on Tuesday night, that will be really good.”

If you need a little more persuasion to attend, be aware that the first 100 fans through the door will be given a free City scarf and before kick-off, we’re giving away 20 Capital One Cup winners t-shirts.
