Olivier Ntcham has been nominated for the u21 Premier League Player of the Month for April.

The EDS midfielder has caught the eye both in the domestic league and in helping City progress to Friday’s final of the International Premier League Cup, and he is one of five players in contention for the award.

Aaron Kuhl (Reading), Duncan Watmore (Sunderland), Alex Iwobi (Arsenal) and Reece Hall-Johnson (Norwich) are the other names on the shortlist.

After three standout displays in the league against Leicester City, Everton and West Ham, scoring once, the Frenchman is bidding to be the third ever winner of the gong which was first introduced in February.

Ntcham has been a virtually ever-present member of Vieira’s squad as they fight for silverware at home and abroad, with the u21 League title still very much up for grabs.

The winner is due to be announced on Friday 8 May. Good luck, Olivier!
