Manchester City centre-back Cameron Humphreys insists City know exactly what to expect from their Premier League Cup opponents Derby County.

Having beat Derby in their opening Premier League 2 match of the season following an excellent second half turnaround, Humphreys feels City are prepared for their challenge this time around.

The 18-year-old said: “We played them first game of the season and we know what to expect from them.

“They’re a physical side and we’ve seen plenty of what they do so we’re prepared to go out and try to get the win like we did in August.”

After defeat to Hull City in the opening group game, Humphreys understands the importance of Monday’s trip to the iPro Stadium.

He said: “Every game is a must-win but we’re trying to get to the top of the group and to do that we’re going to have to get a good result on Monday.”
