Here are the runners and riders....
Bersant Celina
Kosovan international forward Bersant Celina has enjoyed a season to remember by any standard, with his excellent performances in the U21 Premier League earning him a debut for the first-team.
Celina made his bow in the FA Cup third round win over Norwich City in January and went on to make three more appearances for Manuel Pellegrini’s side, including a first Premier League substitute appearance against Leicester City where he made an assist for Sergio Aguero
The 19-year old was further rewarded with a new three-year deal at the end of the season following a truly remarkable campaign.
Aleix Garcia
Spanish playmaker Aleix Garcia has wasted no time in adapting to English football following his move from Villarreal at the end of August.
The metronomic midfielder is another who has made his debut for the first-team this season and he certainly didn’t look out of place in the FA Cup defeat to Chelsea, despite the scoreline.
The 18-year old Spanish youth international is nominated for this award after showcasing his vast passing range, game intelligence and eye for spectacular goals consistently throughout the season.
Angus Gunn
Mr Consistency. An Angus Gunn mistake leading to a goal is a rare sight indeed for those who regularly attend Elite Development Squad matches.
Angus has enjoyed yet another fantastic season in goal for City EDS, making the no.1 shirt his own and visibly improving with each passing week, thanks to his regular exposure to first-team training.
The 20-year old Norfolk-born stopper was rewarded for his fine form with a first call-up to the England u21 squad last year and he was part of the squad which won the Toulon Tournament last summer.
