City EDS kicked off their 2016/17 preparations with a comfortable 6-0 win over Czech outfit, FC Slovacko in Novigrad, Croatia.

Isaac Buckley-Ricketts struck twice in the first half to give Simon Davies’s side the perfect start before Paolo Fernandes netted with a free-kick early in the second period to make it 3-0.

Fernandes scored two more to complete a hat-trick on either side of Zach Faour’s strike to give the Blues a 6-0 lead.

There was still half of the second period to play but City declared on six and started their Croatian training camp in fine style.

Earlier in the day, Lee Carsley’s reign as City u18s boss got off to a dream start as they defeated FC Slovacko’s u18 selection 7-1.

Miles Beerman and Phil Foden netted in the first half before the boy Blues piled on the pain with five more goals after the break, with Jadon Sancho scoring two of them.
