Manchester City’s youngsters haven’t played since the week leading up to Christmas so what have they been up to in their short break?

Although City’s Premier League 2 side are challenging at the top of the table and Lee Carsley’s U18s are unbeaten, they have still been putting in the hard yards in training over the festive period.

However, the players have had some opportunity to let their hair down – as their social media accounts have shown.

Brahim Diaz

City’s diminutive Spanish forward took the opportunity to star in a charity match back in his homeland. The 17-year-old was selected for an Andalusian squad to face a La Liga XI in Seville on December 29 for UNICEF. Brahim’s side came out 3-1 winners and he clearly enjoyed the occasion.

Paolo Fernandes

The Elite Development Squad celebrated the arrival of the festive period with a trip to Manchester and there were plenty of pictures around the day after.

Last night👌🏾✨

Jadon Sancho

He scored plenty of goals and continued to grow his burgeoning reputation throughout 2016 and the young England winger was feeling reflective on New Year’s Eve with this tweet.

Phil Foden

It’s been an incredible few months for the Stockport-born 16-year-old. His shirt from his Champions League experience on the bench against Celtic can be clearly seen in the background of his latest post.

Thierry Ambrose

It was a difficult year for Ambrose, who was injured for long periods before making a goalscoring return to the PL2, but he made sure to celebrate his current fitness in December. The French striker looked pretty dapper by the Christmas tree.
