Having recently returned from a hamstring and ligament injury, the winger is determined to make his mark when the EDS face United at Leigh Sports Village on Saturday 18 November.
The Stockport-born 18-year-old has been a City fan his whole life and admits the annual clashes with the red half of the city is something he always eagerly anticipates.
“Being a Manchester boy and a City supporter, the Derby means a lot to me,” Bolton told mancity.com.
“I just want to get the win, no matter what we have to do.”
With the opportunity to put one over a local rival, it’s a game which naturally carries extra significance.
Bolton is understandably well versed in that and he’s keen to make sure he’s team mates are well aware of this fact, too.
“I think a lot of the team know it’s a big game, but before the match I’ll be letting everyone know that they’ve got to win their individual battles if we’re to win.
“It’s more than just another game – it’s a must win for the Club.
“You’ve got to contribute anything. Even if it’s just being in the squad, running, working hard - doing anything for the Club to get the three points.
“Against United, it means a lot.
“Even if you’re knackered by the end of it you’re just not bothered because you’ve got the win.”
So, what’s the winger expecting from the Manchester United squad during the game?
“Usually they’re very good technically,” the teenager added.
“They keep the ball well and will punish you if you make silly mistakes.
“It’ll be a hard game and we are expecting a tough test - but, I think we have the quality to win the three points.”
