The City midfielder’s dazzling cross to Brewster resulted in England’s third and final goal of the match and his efforts were recognised as the teenager left the pitch to a standing ovation from the Kolkata crowd when he was replaced by Nya Kirby in the 88th minute.
Meanwhile, fellow City starlet Latibeaudiere led from the front as skipper and produced fantastic defensive cover for the Young Lions and went close to scoring in the first half, but his header slipped wide of the Brazil goal.
‘Keeper Anderson also had a fine game restricting Brazil to just one goal and saving several long-distance shots from the South American side.
EDS manager Simon Davies has kept a keen eye on his players as they’ve been advanced in the competition, and said: “We’ve been watching the games as they’ve progressed and they’ve all done really well.
“They’ve got really good careers ahead of them and we’re excited for all of them.”
The City trio and their history-making squad will face either Mali or Spain, who have fellow Blue Eric Garcia in their ranks, in the Under 17s World Cup Final on Saturday 28 October at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan Stadium.
