Simon Davies expects Manchester City EDS’ clash against Bradford City to be a different challenge.

The EDS head to the Northern Commercial Stadium on Tuesday evening to face League One side Bradford in the Checkatrade Trophy.

In their opening fixture of the competition, Simon Davies’ side secured a win over Rotherham United on penalties.

City will be in high spirits after their recent 4-1 victory over Derby County in the Premier League 2 on Saturday and the manager believes their upcoming Checkatrade fixture will be great experience for his side.

“It’s a different challenge because we are playing against a first team,” Davies explained.

“We had a really good experience at Rotherham and these are the challenges our players need- we are really looking forward to it.

“Bradford are flying high in League One so it’s a good chance for the players be themselves and see where they are at in their career and the levels that they need to get near our first team.”

The EDS play Bradford on Tuesday 24 October, with kick-off at 7.30pm.

After Bradford, City will prepare to travel to the Chigwell Construction Stadium as they face West Ham United away in the Premier League 2.
