Nabil Touaizi believes that the EDS’ dramatic win over Arsenal in the opening weekend of the Premier League 2 will give the squad some much needed confidence.

Paul Harsley’s EDS side began their league campaign with a remarkable 6-5 win over reigning champions Arsenal.

In an action-packed encounter, City fought back from going 3-1 down in the first half to secure a stunning win with striker Nabil Touaizi the Blues’ hero as he claimed a superb hat-trick.

“I think the win over Arsenal gives us more confidence going into the new season because we know that we can do it.” Touaizi explained to ManCity.com. “We have to work harder, but we will do it.

“It’s an amazing feeling to come back against the current Champions especially in our first game of the season.

“We still have things to work on defensively, but once we’ve had more time together and worked hard we will overcome those issues.

“The whole match was a bit crazy. Last season I played in some exciting games but nothing on this level!”

Nabil’s hat-trick marked his first trio of goals since joining City in 2017.

“I’m very happy.” The Spaniard added. “Strikers always want to score goals and I scored three!

“I’m delighted but I still need to keep working on it.”
